Sperry / Cplath
Built on the successful NAVIGAT X MK1, the NAVIGAT 200 combines the latest technology with quality, price and requires only minimal service support.
North Stabilization During Short Power Failures
With over 100 years of experience in the marine gyrocompass industry, Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine delivers an advanced low weight marine gyrocompass. The unique method of supporting the system by means of mere buoyancy ensures north stabilization during short power failures.
The Gyro Compass from Northrop Grumman Sperry Marine ensures high accuracy and maximum reliability under all environmental conditions. The Gyro Compass uses a data transmission technology instead of using slip rings. Providing proven technology and long maintenance periods, the Gyro Compass is a long-time secure investment, with low operation costs.
Extreme Weather Conditions
The NAVIGAT X MK 1 Mod 7 marine gyrocompass provides highly accurate heading information in extremely heavy seas. The system is equipped with a special gyrosphere container, with a unique centering pin retaining arrangement that is mounted in an additional gimbal system. This allows almost unlimited freedom of roll and pitch (±90°).
Gyrocompass navigat X MK 2 is a compact, one- unit design that runs on a 24-volt power supply with two independent DC inputs. It can drive up to four analogue repeaters and provides five additional serial data outputs and one six steps/degree output. Based on the proven Sperry Marine NAVIGAT X MK 1 design, the new gyrocompass provides better than 40,000 hours mean time between failures. The system remains north-stabilized for up to three minutes in the event of a power interruption. The NAVIGAT X MK 2 complies with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations A.424(XI) and A.694(17) as well as the International Standards Organization (ISO) standard 8728, and is fully Wheelmark type-approved.
Gyrocompass Sperry Marine MK-37 Mod E Gyrocompass equipment, contains a controlled gyroscope which seeks and aligns itself with the meridian and points to true north. It uses the properties of the gyroscope in combination with the rotation of the earth and the effect of gravity. The MK-37 Mod E Gyrocompass equipment uses a three gimbal system.
